A New Dining Chapter Begins at The West Park Harrogate

09/10/2025

For Immediate Release

This autumn marks the beginning of a new culinary chapter at The West Park Restaurant, Harrogate. From Thursday 9th October, guests are invited to discover a new seasonal menu crafted by the restaurant’s new Head Chef, celebrating the best of British produce and the changing of the seasons with an elevated, sociable, shareable dining experience.

The new menu takes diners on a journey through the flavours of the season, with a variety of small plates, sharing dishes and West Park classics – all bursting with freshness and creativity, and showcasing ingredients from Provenance’s own kitchen garden at Mount St John.

“As the leaves have begun to fall and the autumn chills arrive, we wanted to embrace the change of season with dishes that bring people together” says the restaurant’s Head Chef. “This menu is designed for sharing – for slowing down, socialising and enjoying food that feels both comforting and exciting.”

Among the standout small plates are:

  • Hand-Cut British Venison Tartare – with finely diced shallots, capers, gherkin and quail egg yolk
  • Crab Martini – brown crab panna cotta, hand-picked white crab salad, tempura soft-shell crab, pickled fennel salad, martini espuma
  • Steamed Duck Wontons – served with pickled vegetables and soy dipping sauce

For the main course, guests can expect striking new dishes such as:

  • Ballotine of Duncombe Park Partridge – stuffed with tarragon mousse, wrapped in Serrano ham, accompanied by a mini confit leg & mushroom duxelle Wellington and hen-of-the-woods mushroom
  • Indian Dry-Rubbed Monkfish – aromatic saag paneer, authentic Makhani sauce and hari chatni – already a team favourite

To conclude, the dessert menu offers indulgent new creations, including:

  • Mount St John Apple Sphere – a delicate meringue sphere filled with lemon pastry cream, textures of Mount St John apple, oat crumble and vanilla ice cream
  • Dark Chocolate & Orange Delice – a silky dark chocolate delice paired with fresh orange segments, candied peel and orange sorbet

Returning guests will be delighted to see some West Park classics remain on the menu, such as the Provenance Luxury Fish Pie to the restaurant’s famous Sunday roasts. To keep things ever evolving, the kitchen will also feature a rotating selection of daily chef’s specials, including Kitchen Garden Soup of the Day, Today’s Fresh Harbour Landings and Pasta del Giorno (Pasta of the Day).

The new seasonal menu is complemented by a perfectly curated cocktail list, featuring modern twists on timeless favourites, designed to enhance the new dishes and encourage a more social style of dining.

Overlooking Harrogate’s iconic Stray parkland, The West Park continues to raise the standards for refined yet relaxed dining across the region – combining provenance, creativity and genuine hospitality.

“We’re super excited to launch what we truly believe is our best menu to date, and we can’t wait to welcome guests to experience it. Please book early to avoid disappointment – this is one you won’t want to miss.” Anthony Blundell, Commercial Director of Provenance Collection
